Redcon1 War Games Review: Effects

I play everything from shoot ’em ups to Grand Theft Auto, to games your grandma would approve of like Slither.

Call of Duty scene (Image courtesy of RadioTimes.com)

Slither is innocent enough.

And I wanted to see if War Games would have an effect on the lightest of gaming experiences.

10:00AM – I drink an 8-ounce glass of water mixed with one scoop of War Games.

10:02AM – I play a round of Slither just as I normally would:

I am pounded into smithereens by a giant, arrogant British worm:

No effects felt yet.

10:05AM – Emasculated by defeat, I log off and distract myself with a bit of housework.

Still waiting to feel.

10:34AM – I decide to play another round of Slither to see if War Games has any effect on my playing.

It does.

I am in charge now:

After drinking War Games, it feels like a whole new world is opening up. 🌎

Colors are brighter.

The scene is more crisp.

I am able to take in the entire board.

I’m more hyperfocused on not only my moves, but predicting the movements of my enemy worms both near and far.

My fine motor skills improve, so I am able to finesse some pretty kickass kills. 🩸🩸🩸

And this is just using the arrows on my keyboard.

At this point, I’m ready to highjack a car (in GTA, that is):

(If you think this is BS, I urge you to try a scoop of this stuff.)

In my opinion, this is the best gaming supplement out there.

I’m jacked.

But without the jitters.

How long did War Games last?

The heightened effects lasted for a little under four hours.

Around that time, things started settling back to normal.

I’ve also used War Games for my desk job.

While not as fun of a task as gaming, I did notice that I was more:

📌 focused

📌 interested

📌 energetic

📌 productive

In all, I plan on using War Games on a more regular basis for work.

Redcon1 War Games Review: Dosage

Redcon1 recommends you mix one scoop of War Games with 8-12 ounces of water.

Take one scoop of Redcon1 War Games 1/2 hour before gaming

Redcon1 says you should consume 30 minutes prior to your gaming session.

And I personally found that to be an adequate time for the effects to kick in.

Redcon1 War Games Review: Flavor, Taste, Color and Consistency

Redcon1 War Games comes in three flavors:

📌 PvPunch

📌 Peach Power Up

📌 RGB Fuel

I’m actually drinking a glass of War Games as I write this.

I have the PvPunch, which tastes like your standard fruit punch.

But I did notice the yerba mate (one of the ingredients) flavor really stands out.

It’s hard to describe, but yerba mate tastes kind of like an earthy tea.

So the overall taste of Redcon1 War Games PvPunch is like a punch-y tea.

The color is a light orange-ish:

Redcon1 War Games all mixed up and ready to drink

That’s because Redcon1 doesn’t use artificial colors.

My only complaint is the consistency.

It’s a smooth drink, but a fair amount of sediment collects at the bottom.

With a few swishes of the glass, I was able to reintegrate it into the drink.

But that did make it a little grainy.

Redcon1 War Games Review: Convenience

War Games comes in a convenient, small 30-serving tub.

A pre-measured scoop is included.

Redcon1 War Games Review: Cost

A 30-serving tub of Redcon1 War Games costs $39.99.

That works out to about $1.33 per serving.

Not a bad price for what I consider to be the best gaming supplement around.

Redcon1 War Games Review: Testimonials

Here’s what some users had to say about War Games:

I like how it makes colors more vivid, and really seems to increase focus.

Daniel M.

War Games is a great energy drink that gives you a clean burst of focused energy and helps to enhance your focus and improve gameplay.

Mark K.

… Focus was great without being overly stimulating.

War Games vs Total War

War Games is geared towards the gaming community.

And Total War is aimed to help gym rats achieve peak performance.

But there is some crossover.

Some people take Total War before gaming, and there are people that use War Games as a pre-workout.

So how do the two compare?

At a Glance

War GamesTotal War
Caffeine per Serving~ 67mg~ 320mg
EffectsStrong focus, improved vision, fatigue reductionHigh energy, strong focus, endurance
Dosage1 scoop1/2 to 1 scoop
ConsistencySmooth w/some sedimentSmooth w/less sediment
Cost$1.33 per serving$1.43 per serving

War Games vs Total War: Caffeine

So let’s start with the most obvious difference between War Games vs Total War: caffeine content.

War Games contains a modest amount of caffeine, about 67mg per serving.

That’s about the same caffeine content as a cup of espresso.

The caffeine is derived from yerba mate and guarana seed.

On the other hand, Total War blasts you with 320mg of caffeine per serving.

That comes from caffeine anhydrous and di-caffeine malate.

So if you have a sensitivity to caffeine, Total War is probably not the supplement for you.

War Games vs Total War: Effects

The effects of War Games are more mental:

✅ focus

✅ reduced fatigue

✅ improved vision

The effects of Total War are more physical:

✅ the tingles (thanks, beta-alanine)

✅ muscular endurance

✅ high energy

✅ alertness

War Games vs Total War: Dosage

Redcon1 suggests you take one scoop of War Games 30 minutes prior to gaming.

However, Redcon1 recommends you start with 1/2 scoop of Total War to assess your tolerance 30 minutes prior to working out.

War Games vs Total War: Taste, Color and Consistency

I think both War Games and Total War taste good.

And neither one uses artificial colors or flavors.

But while War Games has only 3 flavors, Total War has over 30.

The consistency is pretty similar between the two, but War Games does collect a bit more sediment at the bottom of the glass.

War Games vs Total War: Cost

War Games costs $29.99 for a 30-serving tub, or about $1.33 per serving.

Total War costs $42.99 for a 30-serving tub, or about $1.43 per serving.

War Games vs Total War: Verdict

So which is better in the War Games vs Total War battle?

It all depends.

Both pack a punch, but in different ways.

In my opinion, War Games is formulated for those who need to mentally focus for an extended period of time.

I believe it’s the best gaming supplement.

And Total War is better geared towards those who want a boost to their physical activities, like working out.

You can use one in place of the other, but I don’t think you’ll get the best results.

Redcon1 War Games Review: Conclusion

So is Redcon1 War Games worth it?

I definitely think so.

When I used it for gaming and work, I found that my focus was amplified.

And so was my vision.

I was able to pay attention to tasks better and longer.

So if you need enhanced focus on things like:

  • gaming
  • work
  • studying

Then I think Redcon1 War Games might be the best gaming supplement this year.
